“One Size Fits All”

Isn’t a part of the joy of Ruby on Rails … not having to use a wizard?  I found this screenshot on the first page of the MonoRail tutorial:

I will have to look at MonoRails’ ability to have differing view engines closer, because you can’t even look in the general direction of Ruby on Rails without getting beaten over the head that it’s “opinionated software“.

What led me here?  SilverlightVisual Studio “Orcas”ASP.NET 2.0 → Dislike of the “1 view, 1 controller” code-behind model used → Looking for Ruby on Rails-like ASP.NET frameworks → MonoRail

    Yes, that’s a thing about Castle, it’s definitely not opinionated, and our community is run by meritocracy rather a “core committers” group of people.
